Prof. Yasuyuki Kono
Prof. Dr. Yasukuki Kono graduated Bachelor’s Degree from the Faculty of Agriculture, The University of Tokyo, and completed his Master’s degree at the Graduate School of Agriculture a the same university. He did his Ph.D. in the Graduate School of Agriculture in 1986 at the University of Tokyo and began his Postdoctoral Fellow JSPS. He started his career at Center for Southeast Asian Studies, Kyoto University and continued to work here til the present. His current position from 2020 onward at Kyoto University is a Director at Kyoto University North American Center and a Vice President for Strategic Planning Innovation and Global Engagement at Kyoto University.

Prof. Mamoru Yamamoto
Prof. Mamoru Yamamoto is a researcher in atmospheric/ionospheric dynamics.
After getting a PhD degree from Kyoto University in 1988, he was working at
Kyoto University as a research associate at Radio Atmospheric Science Center
(RASC) (1988-1996), an assistant professor at Radio Science Center for Space
and Atmosphere (RASC) (1996-2007), and a professor at Research Institute for
Sustainable Humanosphere (RISH) (2007-now). He has been studying vertical
coupling of the atmosphere/ionosphere through waves based on various
observations. His observation techniques are various radars including the MU
radar and Equatorial Atmosphere Radar (EAR), sounding rockets, satellite-to-
ground dual-band beacon, and GPS-TEC experiment. He joined RISH, Kyoto University since its
establishment in 2004, contributed promotion of the humanosphere science, and was elected as the 6 th
director of RISH in 2022. His first visit to Indonesia was in around 1990 as a member of radio
environment searches for “Equatorial Radar”. After that, he started collaborations with Indonesian
scientists with many visits to Jakarta, Bandung, and Bukittinggi.

Prof. B. Nishantha
Professor (Dr.) B.Nishantha has read his first degree, Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Colombo and has completed his postgraduate qualifications: Master of Business Administration (MBA)from the University of Colombo; PhD from the Ryukoku University Japan.
Professor Nishantha served as the Head of the Department of Management & Organization Studies from 2015 to 2018, and he has initiated many academic programs for Sri Lankan entrepreneurs.
Professor Nishantha has served as Program Coordinator of Master of Public Administration (MPA) at the Faculty of Graduate Studies from 2016 to 2019. He is also the Coordinator of the Diploma in Small Business Management (DSBM) program conducted at the Management & Organization Studies department.
Prof.B.Nishantha is the co-founder of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Unit (IEDU), established at the University of Colombo in 2015 for supporting practising entrepreneurs.
